How does the fear of making mistakes and being laughed at affect the way you learn?

Fear is an emotion that always hinders learning.
Teachers who create fear in the teaching-learning process will not be able to induce learning. The mind gets clogged in fear. The fear of making mistakes while learning needs to be erradicated from the minds of children.
Teachers have to create an environment where it is OK to commit mistakes in the process of learning. We need to create conditions for participatory learning and hence going wrong is natural and is acceptable for ensuring learning.

We need to celebrate learning at every step. We can not allow anyone being laughed at while the person is making a sincere effort to learn. This can be discouraging and become an obstacle to learning. We have no right to laugh at the mistakes of others.
Learning has to be fun, an enjoyable activity and we need to support it through reinforcement-praise and encouragement.

  1. THOSE TEACHER ARE BY CHANCE TEACHER CAN BE BLAMMED FOR CREATING FEAR NOT TO WHOM WHO ARE BY EFFORTS.
    NOT ONLY THE TEACHERS THERE ARE OTHER REASONS ALSO.

  2. Fear and learning cannot co-exist. If the teacher can create an environment in which all learners are fearless, yet sensitive, she has created experimenting and probing minds. She has created respect and empathy for diverse views, she has facilitated respect for others, she has encouraged free thinking and debate. That is the crux of modern civilized society. Her students will think out of the box and may become innovators and inventors of the future.
    Dear educators, don't confuse fear with discipline. Let us not straight-jacket our children under the garb of disciplining them. Let them explore.........and how can that be done without making mistakes?! If they fail or fall along their journey, be there to gently pick them up and help them back on their chosen path.
    We have teach our learners to laugh at themselves, not at others! But first, we as educators, have to learn that ourselves.
